Everything. Location was amazing. The tram from the railway station stops almost outside. The room we had was next to the breakfast room but it didn't disturb us. The room was enormous for the price we paid. So was the bathroom. It's right in the heart of the city. Close to all facilities. Air conditioning in the room. Tea/ coffee making facilities. An empty fridge which is great for storing water or one or two of the great Belgian beers. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. We went to Bruges for two nights following Ghent and stayed in a hotel at the same price but it was nothing like the Gravensteen. I would go back without hesitation and if and when I get back to Ghent I will be staying here. Also the city itself is beautiful. I thought it was better than Bruges. We didn't have breakfast here so I can't comment on that.

Location is absolutely perfect! Close to everything, the Leie, all interesting sites, tram stop. Room was small but fine especially since we weren’t there much. It was clean enough and we didn’t hear other guests even though we had ‘neighbours’. We stayed at the front which meant a good view at Gravensteen!, but we heard some noise every morning rather early: collection of glass by municipality, delivery trucks etc. It wasn’t too bad but if you want to sleep in late make sure to get a room at the back or use earplugs (which are provided for by the hotel by the way). Good shower.

The hotel is gorgeous! It looks like a palace when you enter! Our room was sparkling clean and well decorated. Windows soundproof keeping the room warm and silent. Beds super comfortable! I wish I have a mattress like that at home. You have tea and coffee with a kettle in the room which is a very nice detail. The breakfast was fab, big variety of delicious bakery, bread, cereal and cheese. The location is perfect, right in front of the castle. You also have a café bar downstairs for guest's. We will come back!

Location was perfect. Short walk to castle and cathedrals. Also near some excellent restaurants, bars and photogenic scenery. Hotel room located in the building at the back of the courtyard on floor 3 with elevator access. Mostly clean room, good shower facilities and hairdryer. The lady with the short hair who checked us in was super friendly and welcoming. Huge thanks for her welcome to Ghent unfortunately I did not get her name.

The location is great, directly opposite the Castle of the Counts and a stones throw from great bars and restaurants. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations for food- ask them! The hotel was clean, smart and comfortable and great value for money. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!
